The 18-year-old Zana Krasniqi, is a 1.71 m tall beauty queen who will represent Kosovo (Kosova) in Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam. She was trained by Fashion Photographer Fadil Berisha.

Zana Krasniqi (born September 15, 1988) is a model, and the first Miss Universe Kosovo since the state's declaration of independence on 17 February 2008. In her inaugural appearance she made it to 6th place. In this first appearance Miss Kosovo made at the Miss Universe pageant, much of the media surrounded the 'controversial' issue of whether or not she could be friends with Miss Serbia, Krasniqi and Miss Serbia did in fact befriend each other.
She comes from a background of singers, and loves to sing and perform. Her father and sister are both singers and her inspiration. She also loves modeling and had previously participated at Ford Supermodel Contest and represented Albania for the first time in this competition.

Përfaqësuesja e Kosovës në garën e famshme të bukurisë “Miss Universe”, Zana Krasniqi, ka arritur të futet në mesin e 10 vajzave më të bukura në botë nga 80 konkurente në garë. Kurora e më të bukurës i ka takuar bukuroshes nga Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, e pasuar nga Miss Colombia, Taliana Vargas dhe bukuroshja nga Republika Domenikane, Marianne Cruz Gonzale.
Duhet te theksojme se Zana Krasniqi eshte bukuroshja e pare Kosovare qe prezenton kosoven ne nje spektakel ku njihet si shtet. Ne vietnam ishte edhe perfaqsuesja e dyte shqiptare nga Shqiperia Matilda Mecini.
Keshtu tash e tutje shqiptaret neper spektakle te bukurise do te prezentohen me nga dy bukuroshe! Sa mire!
Zana vertete je fenomanele dhe me shume pergjegjesi ke prezentuar Kosoven ne Vietnam. Zana, ti po e prezenton me mire sesa keta politikan me shtrafa pllastik qe na bon hore... Urime Zana...
